Recce P2 (e)

Recce

The recce for my production helped me to visualise what I wanted to achieve in my video. It also helped me imagine what the final product would look like as I could see the shots I was going to re-create in film.

As my story was based in a rural location the area around my house (lane) was perfect for shooting as it is dead centre in the countryside and also practical as we could return to the house quickly if anything went wrong. It also meant I could film on a road with little danger of cars as there are so few in the area, the same applied to people as I only saw two people during the entire shoot.

In order to prepare for my recce I filled out a recce form in order to analyse any risks involved in the shoot.

The two shots below are identical to shots I took on the day of the shoot providing me an insight to what the final product would look like but also help me take the shot on the day.

This rural landscape provided an excellent backdrop for the production as it matched what I'd planned.

As I knew the location very well I had visualised all the shots before hand however by taking pictures of the locations I wanted from the angle I had imagined allowed me to develop my ideas further.
